2024 Product Highlights: Our SPLX Series and 200A/400A SPEC Grade Series

With 2024 coming to a close, it’s the perfect time to look back on some product highlights from the past year. Our latest additions — which include our expanded 200A and 400A SPEC Grade disconnects and our SLPX Series of stainless steel sloped-top enclosures — both feature a unique clean design for critical washdown areas and can take you food and beverage, pharmaceutical and other process manufacturing facilities to the next level.

About Our Expanded SPEC Grade Series

Our SPEC Grade 200A and 400A models are the first on the market to combine these amperages in a sloped-top stainless steel enclosure. Units include a UL 98 Listed rotary switch, providing a more compact and cost-effective footprint than traditional knife-blade alternatives. They also have a 15-degree sloped roof to facilitate liquid runoff in washdown areas, minimizing potential for harborage contamination.

Other features include:

  • UL 98 switch with 250 and 350 HP max ratings.
  • NEMA 4X; 12 enclosure rating with recommended mounting hardware.
  • Captive, quarter-turn cover latches and removable cover.
  • LO/TO-compliant pistol-grip handle for multiple locks.
  • Early break auxiliary contacts for VFD and starter interfaces.
  • Poured-in-place cover gasket.
  • Minimum operational cycles: electrical – 6,000; mechanical – 20,000.
  • SCCR rating - 200kA RMS Symmetrical for 200A and 100kA RMS Symmetrical for 400A.

Exploring Our SLPX Series

Designed for 30- and 60-amp switches, our stainless steel SLPX Series feature a sloped roof to allow liquid to run off, as well as one-inch external mounting feet which simplifies sanitation inspections. Further enhancing safety where there is mixed power and control wiring, these units also have a compartment barrier with one-inch pass-through opening.

You can also expect to reduce installation time and cost thanks to its three- and four-box options, enabling you to deploy one box instead of several individual units.

Other features include:

  • Switches: SCCR, 65kA RMS and “Suitable as Motor Disconnect”  per NEC 430-109 (a)(b).
  • UL listed standards 50 & 50E; CSA 22.2 No. 94.
  • 304 Stainless Steel; NEMA 4X; 12.
