About the EC&M Award

EC&M, or Electrical Construction and Maintenance, is the technical authority for electrical professionals. The publication established its Product of the Year competition in 2001 to recognize excellence in new product development and showcases the most innovative products in a wide range of categories including software, construction equipment, lamps, wiring, portable test and measurement equipment and many more.

In terms of the award process, a panel of expert judges narrowed down the submissions as part of phase one of the competition. The team then ranked each product based on scoring criteria, ultimately identifying 31 category winners based on technical innovation, as well as the ability to save time and improve productivity for end users.
